hectic

things have been kinda hectic.
i have just been coming home and crashing all week, i am so tired! working with kids really drains you, but its totally worth it.  so much fun.
so anyways, my life is currently pretty boring so i dont really have anything to say.  oh but there is this really fun website that i love i cant decide
you type in 2 choices and then people vote while you answer 5 other peoples questions and then you get your results.  you can also just vote
its so much fun and helps sometimes.  and the good thing its non biased opinions from real people! not plastic toys, although never doubt the power of the magic 8 ball (that is of course until it tells you your best friend is going to come over and then they come up with an excuse and totally stand you up!) but that is neither here nor now and that never happened to me...
magic 8 ball is right about 90% of the time.  its crazyy
allright i have to go take a shower, my hair is gross.  then i have to get a new facebook picture and then PROJECT RUNWAY!

radio

sorry to rip you off brennan, but you sparked a thought that has been brewing for a while and you gave me an idea to write about.

so esentially, there is no good radio station out on the normal radio, XM, i dont know about but normal FM there is nothing but crap on all day.
i tend to listen to 99.5 but only for up to like 20 minutes because otherwise the same 5 songs get boring considering thats all they play.
and i am not really accepting of other peoples music taste.  i can accept pop, old school rap (kind of) some hip hop, rock, jazz, a little classical, acoustic, and a few others
but the thing i do not accept is completely rap and hip hop.  come on people widen your spectrum.  be diverse with your music!

bands to check out:
the virgins
honeyhoney
jurassic 5
albert hammond JR
the shins
the alternate routes
rocco deluca & the burden
matt wertz
brett dennen
matt nathanson
jim gaven
tim blane
kate voegele
regina spektor
rachael yamagata
ray lamontage
jacks mannequin
forever the sickest kids
every avenue
a cursive memory
we the kings
stephen kellog & the sixers
metro station
anchorage
the fratellis
jason mraz
dave matthews band
swell season
the kooks
cold war kids
adele

and thats alot so i dont want to overwhelm you.  thats a fairly small spectrum of music but i dont want to overwhelm you, so just check them out.  some of them are smaller and are just starting out so support them, buy a CD
and even better some of them have concerts, even better to hear them live i bet...!
check them out

wackness

the title is in reference to the movie
its pretty decent
go see it.  at the landmark in bethesda because that theater is the shit.
so anyways. i was thinking today, i wish that showing your bra was socially acceptable.  i mean really how different is it than a bathing suit.  it covers the same thing in basically the same way, so whats the big deal?
i mean why is it so trashy to show your bra straps or the cups of your bra?
i understand why it looks bad to show the back when you are wearing a backless dress, thats just a fashion no no. but in general, bras should be ok to show.
that is all

different

so today i finished watching lars and the real girl
great movie by the way.
but it got me thinking about how interesting it would be to know someone with a delusion of that sort.  i want to know how someone views the world, how different people see things.  like little kids, and people with mental illnesses.  i want to get inside of peoples heads. (not in a creepy way) just to know how many different ways there are to view things out there intrigues me so much.  like im working at camp, and these kids draw things so differently and talk about things in a whole different light, and they are so open, and its just crazy to think about it.  like they are so new, with only a few years of life experience and to think about how they interpret things just really amazes me.  i wish i could be a 5 year old again and know what they know, and see the world as they see it.
walk a mile in another persons shoes...

5 minutes till midnight

5 minutes till midnight, so i have 5 minutes to post this before its too late
ahhhhhhh!!!!
random things:
-all those supposedly hidden written "sex" (the stars in lion kind, the sand in Aladdin...) those all actually say SFX and were put in by the sound company
-the beast in beauty and the beast, his real name is adam.  you think you knew that but they never actually say it in the movie
-walt disney was apparently a very bad man...(source not reliable)
-hancock is not that good of a movie unless you are an 8th grader
-personalized m&ms are expensive
-duct tape rings are uncomfortable
-reprise is a good movie
-chicken caesar sandwich at cosi is good
-carrots are fun
-maureen johnson is a good author, and has more books published than i originally thought
-people shoot off fireworks the day before the fourth of july in bethesda
-norwegian is a cool language
and im out of time

secrets

secrets are no fun unless they are shared with everyone

which is true unless its your secret....

but the rule still applies.

i just hate it when people are blatantly keeping something from you, or like whispering about something that you did while you are right there...its just rude.
this subject is kinda self explanatory and fairly dull/dead.
and im dead too
im so tired.
so im going to crash
ill write more tomorrow

back in business

hopefully i can get back into the groove of things this week in terms of posting every day. so considering its kinda late a i have a few things to do before i go to sleep im going to make this post relatively short.
movies:
so today i spent a good chunk of time watching movie trailers. there are actually a decent number of movies out relatively soon, which is a HUGE relief, considering the fact that all the movies that are currently out are complete and total shit. with the exception of Wall-E, Wanted, Get Smart...and thats all i can remember now.
but dont mess with the zohan...seriously, i heard that its so stupid its not even worth seeing. this is the not the reaction that people should be having to movies. seriously movies are a time when you can sit down and enjoy the product off someone elses work like going to an art gallery. or if you are a fan of PDA, then the movies is a dark room to make out...personally i prefer to actually watch the movies...
which brings me to my next point, movie ticket prices. $10.50 seems to be the average price
seriously!? i mean come on, for the crap that you are putting out, you cannot expect us to pay that much money for a fucking piece of cardboard paper.
this makes me mad.
back to the PDA for a moment, some people are just so outright weird/gross about it. like if you are sitting next to people, dont do it. where as if you are in the back of the theater alone, knock yourself out...but like if people can see you, and if there alot of people...thats just weird. and there are some movies where its just weird too. like horror films, really? do you really really need to hook up in that second? is it that necessary? i mean if you are into weird stuff, go to the woods or something, find a log to sit on. its private provided you dont run into any unsuspecting hikers. but also, i wouldnt want to waste $21 on movie tickets, to not even see the movie. its not worth it. its like paying $21 for a motel room where people can see you having sex...not a good deal.
recommendations:
pineapple express
choke
the other mistress
college
the wackness
boy a
garden party
diminished capacity
city of ember
eagle eye
bottle shock
mirrors
reprise

allright so my time is up for the day,
until tomorrow:
as always,
Natasha
